  • A Threeâ?�day regional planning meeting held in Yaounde, Cameroon from 4 â?� 6 February 2013. The meeting which brought together ICRAF scientists from across the WCA region and from Nairobi, Kenya also saw the participation of scientists from partner organisations like CIFOR, IITA, Bioversity and IRAD. It aimed at reviewing the achievements of the previous year as well as strategize on how to mobilise more resources for the upcoming years. A keynote presenta Æ? on was made by Ramni Jamnadass on, Tree Gene Æ? c Resources: Improvement, Conserva Æ? on and Use in WCA. Other key presenta Æ? ons included that by Ebenezar Asaah in which he gave an overview of tree improvement and systems diversi fi ca â?� Æ? on taking the case of the V4C, CFC and Biodev projects in the re â?� gion. Jules Bayala presented an overview on the biophysical and policies challenges within WCA. The marke Æ? ng team presented on the collec Æ? ve ac Æ? on, product development, market informa Æ? on sys â?� tem and rural resource centres. The group work sessions enabled the team to review the scien Æ? fi c achievements registered in 2012 and iden Æ? fy publica Æ? on opportuni â?� Æ? es, review research priori Æ? es for 2013 and iden Æ? fy common issues across nodes and projects.
